So have any of you had this issue with jaws studdering to the point it effects all your system sounds? I have jaws 12 the latest updates installed as well. My system is as follows "aspire 5732z" 4 gigs of memory, windows7 64 bit with a 250 HD, and the processor is a "T-2.1 dule core". The screen size is a 16.3 inch screen. So if any of you have seen this problem let me know how you fixed it.
Sorry had a brain fart, Acer is my manufacture fore the laptop I have.
If this has just started than it is something wrong with your sound card. Acer , bless them are seemingly problematic with sound. Some video cards will cause issues as well. I'd give Freedom Scientific a call and have them trouble shoot with you.
If you weren't having the issue before you upgraded Jaws, are you sure you installed the 64 bit version? Check this.
I have installed the 64 bit addition with jaws. I will call them this week when I get home tomorrow. Thanks for pointing out Acer's sound card issues.
I thought of one other thing. You might uninstall it, than reinstall it. That might help.
I will, I truely did not think of this. When I get home from work there is little time to play.
Let me know the oucome and what was causing the issue.
Typically, if this is something that happens after jaws has been installed for a while, it is sound card driver corruption. It may take a set of eye balls, but usually uninstalling the sound card from the device manager and having windows reinstall it works.
If you mess with the card drivers make sure you have sighted help. Sometimes they con't install smoothly and require a click or 2.
You have no sounds, so you can't see. Smile. A great suggestion.
I find that with this bran of computer the sound is troublesome some times.
I hope to leave this brand fore a asus gaming laptop this coming year after Christmas around tax time. I found one with 12 gigs of memory , 2. I7 processor and to 500 gig harddrives. any who so far the studdering has not started back thankfully. Its odd I install v-m ware, run vinux on this system and the studdering goes away.
